HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you are all getting some time to enjoy your family and a little relaxing. We are going to a friend's home for swimming and BBQ.
I am missing my little Levi, he has gone to visit Grandpa Vince in Washington and then Nana in Oregon and then Uncle Pete and Auntie Dana and their baby Jonas. He will be gone for 3 or 4 weeks. I'm sure he is having great fun. It's not the same around here without him....
So here's my thought for the day....with the craziness of life we seldom get the chance to just be still. You know those rare moments when everything stops, peace fills you, and gratitude overwhelms you. Don't let those moments pass just pass you by, grab onto them, soak them up, and savor them. Because fleeting they are, and the speed of life erases them.
Remember that today is a gift, that's why it is called the present. I love you all, Heidi

New Gilbert Temple

We are getting a Temple in Gilbert, Arizona! It's only going to be about 5 miles from our house. This is an idea of what they are thinking of building it like. The Mesa Temple is the closest one we have now. It is about 12 miles away. The other temple in Arizona is in Snowflake. I've never been there. I guess we just have so many members of the church here that we needed another one! It's getting to be like Utah around here.

I read this book (several times actually) and I LOVE it...like many of you...and I can't wait for the movie which comes out this December. I just found this movie poster online. I really really hope this movie is not a stinker. For those of you who don't know what this is all about ya gotta find and read the book "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer. There's 3 out so far, the 4th comes out in a few months. You will be hooked too, I promise. Just don't go see the movie without reading the book first!

Summer Weather is Almost Here...

Summer is almost here. One week of school is left! I can't believe it! The kids are enjoying the nice days and soon they will have alot more time to enjoy them. School lets out on May 22!!! Today Levi enjoyed the afternoon reading in the backyard with our dog, London. The girls played with their friends after gymnastics today. Levi had a great Baseball game tonight! Lucas got invited to a birthday party on Saturday. There are the highlights of the day. Thank you for all of your comments and e-mails regarding our blog! Tom rides 74 miles in Sedona yesterday....

Tom and his friends ride for the first time in the Sedona Century Ride this past Saturday. There was alot of uphill, over one mile of vertical climbing on this ride. That's pretty impressive! I'm so proud of my hunny! It only took 4 hours and 20 minutes. Sedona was beautiful and the weather was awesome! This is just one of the many events that Tom does every year. So, what's' next? Moab, Utah for the Moab Century Tour. If you ever talk to him, he'll try and recruit you to join him on the ride, guaranteed! He is always trying to get people to do crazy things with him.

This is our home sweet home!

We have lived here since August 2001. So many happy times have been had here. Lots of fun visits from family and friends! We love our home and our neighborhood, it is a wonderful place to live. The house next door and the house across the street are for sale. Any one want to be our neighbor?

Megan's Birthday Picture- I can't believe my baby is 6!

Megan's 6th birthday was fun! We had a little family party with hotdogs and cake. Megan's birthday highlight was going to build-a-bear after school. She made a black lab puppy which she dressed in pink and named Elizabeth. For her bithday she got a new pillow, a barbie, money from Grannie, and lots of clothes and shoes from everyone else. It is fun and a lttle sad to see Megan growing up. We miss her being the "Baby", but she is becoming a wonderful and fun young girl. We love you Meggie!
