Cami's Baptism March 2008

This past March our oldest daughter Cami was baptised by her Dad. It was a very special day that will be long remembered. At the baptism Cami and her siblings sang a beautiful version of "I am a Child of God". It was so sweet and touching it made me cry. The whole thing was just a sweet experience for her and Tom and I. I don't know what the other kids got out of it, but I hope Cami never forgets her special day and the covenants she made with Heavenly Father. To help make the day memorable for her, I sewed a special dress for her and we had a beautiful cake made for the occasion by a friend of mine. After the baptism everyone that attended came over for a luncheon. It was lovely, the cake, the food and all the wonderful friends and family that were there. I felt especially loved as so many of my friends and my sweet sister came to support me that day. They spent extra time helping me clean up, prepare and serve the food and clean up some more. Thanks Guys! It was a very special day for our sweet little girl.

Oh, how I wish we lived closer to one another so that we could enjoy times together like that. I didn't realize you sewed her dress--you are the ultimate mom. I would love for you to post some recipes if you don't mind. By the way, I have made the rolo cookies on more than one occasion, and they were a huge hit! I am thinking about submitting the recipe for a contest at the scrapbooking store here in town. I'll check back soon.
